Ropecon is the largest role-playing event in Finland. In addition to table-top games the con contains larps, tournaments for collectible card games, board games and miniatures games, painting instructing and space for casual gaming. Different facets of gaming are discussed in panels and workshops.

The main them for this year is new weird, the crossing point where the grey of an ordinary day becomes magic and fey descend into fast-food employees. This theme is reflected in the costume contest, at the art gallery, and at several lectures and panels. In addition to the new weird, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons and keep our towels handy, in case a suitable spaceship might pass us by.
