A Week in Finland brings together role-players from Finland and from abroad. It is the perfect opportunity to get to know different gaming cultures from around the world, compare notes and get new ideas. But, above all, it is a perfect opportunity to mingle with larpers from everywhere in games, parties and other events.
During the week, several small larps will be played. Some of them are hand picked from the Finnish variety, some of them are brand new ‚ and some of them come from other countries, too.
In addition to the games, several get-togethers will be held. Some of them are parties, some of them just opportunities to meet everyone and to discuss whatever interests the participants. One thing is certain, however: There will be a Finnish sauna party ‚ so bring your towels along!
People from abroad will be hosted by local gamers in their homes in the Helsinki area. This gives the opportunity see what kind of an animal a Finnish larper really is and to get to know some of them really well. If there are enough hosts, Finnish larpers from other parts of the country may also participate.
The hosts will provide a place to stay for free. Participants are supposed to bring their own sleeping equipment, feed themselves and also take care of additional fees like transportation and possible game fees themselves.
At the moment the event is full. No new admissions except from those people who are able to provide lodging for people from abroad.
