Ropecon is Finland's biggest roleplaying convention, with more than 3,500 visitors each year. This year's event begins on the 27th and ends on the 39st of July 2012. The event takes place in the conference center Dipoli in Espoo, located right next to the capital city of Helsinki.
Ropecon offers a variety of programming and activities covering the width and breadth of the hobby gaming field, including both tabletop and live action roleplaying games, board games, miniatures and collectible card games. In addition to an abundance of gaming, we are proud to offer a selection of lectures and workshops.
Mostly the program is held in Finnish, but there will be a number of program items that are either in English or at the very least do not require Finnish. For more detailed information, check out the Program.
The themes of Ropecon 2012 are fantasy and alternative realities. Our Guests of Honor are Peter Adkison (USA) and Larson Kasper (GER). More info can be found under Visitor's Guide - Guests of Honour (coming soon).
Accreditation
Journalists have free entrance to the convention.
You get in with a valid press ID by showing it at the ticket sales.
We hope that you will send in your accreditation before the event. You can do that via e-mail at tiedotus@ropecon.fi, mentioning

- How many of you will come (including photographers etc)
- What kind of a publication you are planning
